We typically close doors around 11PM. I will walk you through how it works when you get here. It’s a lot of fun and not stressful at all. You are here to have a good time! \nThe $28 Fee covers both the main and side tournament\, all game play\, bottled water and coffee. Price for children 13 and younger with adult will be $20 for the night. Pay in person when you come to District 82 Pinball. This is an individual event and not a team event. Practice starts at 5PM and tournament starts at 6PM. To register use the “register” button on this page or send an email to ekthoren@yahoo.com saying you would like to play on Tuesday Night. \nClick Here for more information on Tilt’n Tuesdays \nMain Event:\nDoors Open 5PM \nCheck in at the front desk and play anything you want on the over 100+ pinball machines and video games. You can also play anything you want in-between rounds. We star the Main Tournament at 6PM. \nQualifying – Everyone Plays 6PM-9PM\nWe play 4 Rounds of group match play pinball\, 2 games per round\, for a total of 8 games for the night. Don’t worry if you don’t know what that is I can explain it to you very quickly when you show up. All 100+ games are on Free Play. Each round consists of 2 randomly selected games\, 1 Classic and 1 Modern game that you play with 3 other people. On each game you will score points based on your finish against the other players. 1st (7 points)\, 2nd (5 points)\, 3rd (3 points) or 4th (1 points). Then on the subsequent rounds the computer will match you up on different games typically with different players who have similar cumulative points earned for the night as you do. After the 4 rounds\, we take the top 16 players for overall points and run a finals. If you do not make the finals you are welcome to stay and play as much as you want until we close for the night (around 11PM after finals are done). \nFinals – Top 16 from Qualifying 9PM-11PM\nThe playoff goes much faster as we play them multi-match style so you’re not here all night. In the playoff the highest seeded person in each group gets to choose first. If they want to pick the bank of games to play on or if they want to pick the order in which they will play (1st\, 2nd\, 3rd\, or 4th)\, then the next highest seed gets the next choice\, etc. If you don’t want to play in the playoff or need to leave the next highest placed person (17th) will take your place\, etc. The top 4 players overall will receive trophies. Each tournament will also earn you some WPPR (World Pinball Player Ranking) points and get you both a State of Wisconsin and International ranking with the IFPA. \nAutomatic Tiebreakers-We have Automatic Tiebreakers turned on in the software and will use that to determine the position of the top 16 players but 16th place will be played out (if needed) as a 1 game playoff on a faster\, classic game chosen by the tournament director. \nSide Tournament:\nWe have one classic machine dedicated as the side tournament qualifier game. Everyone gets one try with no practice on this game sometime in the evening and hopefully put up a good score. You must play the game sometime between 5PM and the end of the 4th round of play in the main tournament. The top 8 players will get to play a 3 strike knockout tournament only on classic machines to determine the winner. There is no advantage to qualifying 1st or 8th in this style of playoff. Everyone starts the finals even. If you don’t want to play in the playoff or need to leave the next highest score person (9th) will take your place\, etc. \nMore than 80 players- IFPA rules say we have to bring a minimum of 10% of the players into the final of a non-direct play tournament. We will add 1 person to the finals to be played as follows. If we get between 81-90 players than the top 9 get to play finals knockout. If we get between 91-100 players then top 10 get to play finals knockout\, Etc. \nCurrent Game List is Here \nPrivate Parties at District 82 Pinball\nHave District 82 Pinball host your Private Event\, Team Building Event\, or Birthday Party! Included in the NACS are the IFPA State Championship Series in the United States\, IFPA Provincial Championship Series in Canada and the IFPA District Championship Series in Washington D.C. At the end of each calendar year\, the top 16 ranked players (or 24) with the most WPPR points from each state will qualify for the playoffs\, where they will play for the title of IFPA State/Province/District Champion within that area. \nFrom there\, these champions will be invited to play for the IFPA North American Pinball Championship\, details of which can be found in the Official Rules. \nAll 2025-26 IFPA State/Provincial/District Championships will be held on Saturday\, January 17\, 2026. With all of the Championships being held on the same day\, no player will be eligible to compete for multiple titles\, however it is possible for someone to qualify for a Championship in a State/Province/District in which they do not live in. \nNACS Official Rules (2025)\n\nQuick Overview \nThe IFPA North American Championship Series is an annual pinball competition with players qualifying throughout the entire calendar year. \nFrom there\, these champions will be invited to play for the IFPA North American Pinball Championship\, details of which can be found below. Any mentions of the SCS below also apply to the PCS and DCS. \nCompetition Details \n\nHow to qualify\n\nUnlike most tournaments where the qualification process takes place over a couple of days at the tournament site\, qualifying for the IFPA State Championship Series is based on results from all the IFPA endorsed tournaments held throughout the year in each eligible state. Utilizing its World Pinball Player Rankings\, the IFPA will be tracking results based on where those IFPA endorsed tournaments are held\, maintaining separate state rankings made up of those filtered results. \nFor example\, the Illinois State Rankings will be made up of IFPA endorsed tournaments including Pinball Expo’s Flip Out tournament\, Chicagoland Pinball League\, Gameworks Pinball Tournament of Champions\, Illini Pinball League\, Gameworks Monthly Pinball Tournament\, Pre-Expo Fall Classic\, etc. Those 16 (or 24) players that earn the most WPPR points based only on these subset of events\, will qualify for the IFPA Illinois State Championship. Similar to the World Pinball Player Rankings\, only a player’s best 20 events within that state will count towards their standing. \nNo player will be eligible to play in more than one IFPA State Championship\, so it is likely that the IFPA will have to move down the state rankings list to find 16 (or 24) eligible qualifiers to participate in the State Championship. It is possible to qualify for an IFPA State Championship within a state that player does not live in\, and it is even possible for players that live outside of the US to qualify for an IFPA State Championship should they earn enough WPPR points within a state to qualify. \nIt is the player’s responsibility to make sure they have an email address on file with the IFPA\, or they run the risk of not being contacted for participation in any State Championships they are qualified for. Please fill out an IFPA profile to ensure we have a way to contact you. If you see a green check within your profile information on your IFPA profile page\, it means we do have a registered email address on file for you. The IFPA requires that you have a registered account to be eligible to compete in the IFPA North American Championship Series. \nWhile all States will have a minimum of 16 players that qualify for the State Championship\, certain states will be eligible to expand their qualifying field to 24 players. Any States that have a minimum of 400 unique players and 100 events held within that state during the calendar year will be eligible for that expanded 24 player final. \n\nFees\n\nAn endorsement fee of $1 per player\, per event will now be required for events to be endorsed by the IFPA and award WPPR points within the United States\, Canada and Washington D.C. \nTournament Directors are responsible for submitting payment to IFPA after results are approved. WPPR points will not be posted until payment has been received by the IFPA. \nThe fees collected will be allocated to the prize pool of that state (65%)\, prize pool of the North American Championship (20%)\, prize pool of the IFPA World Pinball Championship (5%) with 10% of the fees being withheld to cover processing fees related to those payments. Please note for Canadian Provinces the endorsement fee will be paid in CAD\, however the funding for the North American Championship will be at the USD total. Based on current exchange rates this makes the PCS split roughly 60% province\, 25% to the North American Championship\, 5% to the IFPA World Pinball Championship and 10% fees. \nFormat of Matches \n\nSeeding of finalists\n\nOnce all participants are finalized\, the 16 or 24 players will be seeded based on their State rankings position at the end of the calendar year. In the event that any players are tied with the same amount of In-State WPPR points\, we will look at the overall WPPR rank of those players as of the end of that calendar year. Any players tied on the qualifying bubble with the same State ranking position will result in a play-in tiebreaker game to determine who joins the field of finalists for the State Championship. Game and position will be pulled at random by the TD. \n\nMachines Chosen\n\nWith each IFPA State Championship being held at a different location\, each will have a different set of games available for the tournament. Please check with the IFPA State Representative for details on the game list once the location has been finalized for that particular IFPA State Championship. \n\nHead-to-Head Single Elimination Format\n\nPlayers will be placed in a single elimination bracket once the seedings have been completed. \nFirst round pairings are as follows: \n1 vs. 16\, 2 vs. 15\, 3 vs. 14\, 4 vs. 13\,\n5 vs. 12\, 6 vs. 11\, 7 vs. 10\, 8 vs. 9 \nSecond round pairings are as follows: \n1/16 winner vs. 8/9 winner\, 2/15 winner vs. 7/10 winner\,\n3/14 winner vs. 6/11 winner\, 4/13 winner vs. 5/12 winner \nThird round pairings are as follows: \n1/8/9/16 winner vs. 4/5/12/13 winner\,\n2/7/10/15 winner vs. 3/6/11/14 winner \nFourth round pairing are as follows: \nTwo winners of round 3 play for the State Championship\nTwo losers of round 3 player in the Consolation Final for 3rd/4th place. \nEach match will be a race to 4 wins (unless a match is tied 3-3 after 6 games where a sudden death tiebreaker will be played – see below). At the start of the match each player will choose an ‘OLD’\, ’MID’ and ’NEW’ machine. The lower seeded player will choose the first machine\, followed by the higher seeded player choosing the second machine. This picking order will continue until all 6 games have been chosen. A machine may not be picked more than once in the same match. Once a player verbally makes any choice regarding machine or position\, they are locked into that decision. Please note that State Reps have the authority to not have an era breakdown for the event\, in which case the choices of each player at the start of the match will be from the entire field of available machines. \nThe higher seed will first choose whether they want to start on one of their own choices\, or one of the lower seed’s choices. Position will be based on who originally selected the machine before the match started. The player that did not have the machine as a part of their three choices will have choice of position on that particular machine. The match will alternate between machines chosen by each player\, until all 6 games are completed. Should a player reach 4 wins before all 6 games are completed\, no further games should be played. If the higher seeded player chooses to start on one of their machine choices\, they will choose game number 1\, 3 and 5 in the match (from their 3 picks). The lower seeded player would then be choosing game number 2\, 4 and 6 in the match (from their 3 picks). \nShould the match be tied after these 6 games\, the match will move to ‘Sudden Death’. This will be a single game where any of the remaining machines are available to be chosen. The higher seeded player will have choice of machine or position for this ‘Sudden Death’ game. \nEach player will have the opportunity for 30 seconds of practice time before starting every game of every match. This is to ensure that both players have a chance to get familiar with the machine. \nThe winner of the match advances to the next round\, while the loser is eliminated. \nThe 3rd/4th place Consolation Final will be played as a best-of-three instead of a best-of-seven like all other rounds\, using the same rules. It is up to the IFPA State Representative as to whether matches will be played out to determine 5th through 16th (or 24th) place. \nFor any state that is eligible for the expanded field of 24 finalists\, the top 8 players will receive a bye\, with the 9th through 24th seeds playing in an opening round. The rest of the bracket will play out as above. \n  \n\nWinners\n\nWinners will receive cash prizes as cash or check during an awards ceremony shortly following the conclusion of all final rounds. Winners need not be present to receive prizes; prizes will be supplied via postal mail if necessary. All taxes are the sole responsibility of winners. Certain tax forms may need to be completed\, as directed by tournament officials. All decisions by tournament officials regarding winners and prizes are final. \nAny state with 16 finalists will have the following payout structure: \n1st place – 30% of the prize pool \n2nd place – 18% of the prize pool \n3rd place – 12% of the prize pool \n4th place – 8% of the prize pool \n5th through 8th place – 4% of the prize pool each \n9th through 16th place – 2% of the prize pool each \nAny state with 24 finalists will have the following payout structure: \n1st place – 28% of the prize pool \n2nd place – 16% of the prize pool \n3rd place – 10% of the prize pool \n4th place – 6% of the prize pool \n5th through 8th place – 4% of the prize pool each \n9th through 16th place – 2% of the prize pool each \n17th through 24th place – 1% of the prize pool each \nFirst Place will also receive the title “IFPA State Pinball Champion” for the state being contested. For example\, the winner of the IFPA Ilinois State Championship will receive the title of “IFPA Illinois State Pinball Champion”. This title remains in effect until the next annual IFPA State Championship Series\, or will expire after two years if the IFPA State Championship Series is discontinued. \nRulings and Malfunctions \nAll rulings and malfunctions will be based on the rules for the IFPA/PAPA unified ruleset\, available HERE. \n  \nIFPA North American Championship \nAs part of the prize package for each IFPA State Championship\, each IFPA State Champion will win free entry into the IFPA North American Pinball Championship. If the IFPA State Champion is unable to attend the IFPA North American Pinball Championship\, the runner-up at the State Championship will be allowed to participate and serve as the representative of that state. \nThe IFPA North American Pinball Championship will be held on Thursday\, March 5th\, 2026 at ORD Pinball in West Chicago\, IL. Additional details on the format and prizes is available HERE.

Everyone on Tuesday night competes in the organized tournament\, but you can still play anything you want at practice 5-6PM\, in-between rounds\, and when it is over. We typically close doors around 11PM. New players are welcome and I will walk you through how it works when you get here. It’s a lot of fun and not stressful at all. You are here to have a good time and you absolutely will! \nThe $28 Fee covers both the main and side tournament\, all game play\, bottled water and coffee. Price for children 13 and younger with adult will be $20 for the night. Pay in person when you come to District 82 Pinball. This is an individual event and not a team event. If Tiered Swiss not available then Swiss will be used.\nEach Round will consist of 2 games played 1 at a time on the older\, ‘classic’ games at D82\nYou will receive 7/5/3/1 scoring on each game\nAutomatic Tiebreakers will be turned on\nOnce 5 rounds are played the top 24 players make it to the final as long as we have 48 or more players*\nTop 8 will receive a first round bye\n8th & 24th place will not use the Automatic Tiebreakers. All players tied with the same amount of accumulated points for the 8th & 24th place person will have a 1 Game tiebreaker to determine who gets into the final and who doesn’t. This 1 Game tiebreaker is significant and will result in the final placing for all players who finish 24th or worse in the tournament. Example. We have 10 players with the same amount of points who finish from 21st-30 in qualifying. They all get to play a 1 Game tiebreaker. The person with the lowest tiebreaker score finishes the tournament in 30th place regardless of there qualifying position. 9th-12th place get to pick the bank in the first round of qualifying. If we play a tiebreaker for 8th then some player(s) don’t make the top 8. This tiebreaker BALL will determine who is 9th\, 10th\, etc and we will use that for seeding for the finals. \nFinals Portion: \nTop 24 Players from the Main Event Qualifying will play in the Finals. If someone doesn’t show up for round 1 the 25th ranked person (or next highest available person) from qualifying can take their place. If a player fails to show up for round 2 or later rounds we continue as if they are still in the tournament and plunge balls until they show up or are eliminated. The format will consist of 4 rounds of 3 game banks. Top 8 qualifiers get a 1st round bye. Groupings for first round will be (9th\, 16th\, 17th\, 24th)\, (10th\, 15th\, 18th\, 23rd)\, (11th\, 14th\, 19th\, 22nd)\, (12th\, 13th\, 20th\, 21st) Games will be played one at a time. High seed in each group will get choice of Bank and Order on 1st game. Subsequent games the order choice is reversed with 4th place getting to pick first\, then 3rd place next\, etc. The games that are in the banks will be chosen by the tournament director before the start of the tournament and won’t be revealed until the playoffs. The banks will be all classic pins. Once a bank is chosen it will be out for the rest of the finals. Scoring will be 4/2/1/0 for each of the 3 games. Top 2 advance bottom 2 are eliminated. Should there be a tie for 2nd/3rd place a 1 game playoff will be played by the 2 affected players. That game will either chosen by the TD or pre-printed on the playoff sheet if needed. \nThe 8 Eliminated players from 1st round will finish 17th-24th according to how many points they accumulated in this round. Ties will not be broken. \nIn the Quarterfinal Round\, the players advancing from the previous round will be reseeded according to their original ranks and divided into four groups as follows. \n16 Players \nGroup 1:  1   8    9   16\nGroup 2:  2   7   10  15\nGroup 3:  3   6   11  14\nGroup 4:  4   5   12  13 \nThe 8 eliminated players will be ranked 9th-16th according to the accumulated points in this round. Ties will not be broken. \nFor the Semifinal Round\, the 8 players advancing will be divided into two groups of four. The groups will be organized according to the original qualifying rank as shown here: \n8 Players \nGroup 1:   1   4   5   8\nGroup 2:   2   3   6   7 \nThe 4 eliminated players from this round will be ranked from 5th-8th based on the accumulated points from this round. Ties will not be broken. \nThe four remaining players advance to the final round. The final round is conducted in the same manner as the Semifinal Round. The total scores for this round will determine the ordering of the winners. All ties in the final round are considered significant and will be broken with a 1 game playoff. The final reporting of points to IFPA will show 1st-4th place with no ties. \nTop 4 Plaques \n*Disclaimer on number of players\nIf we have between 32-48 players than the top 16 players will make it to finals. If we have less than 32 players we will take the top half to finals. Finals groupings will then be adjusted based on number of players.

Just register and have fun. \nFine Details:\nEveryone is going to be put into a 3 player (2 if necessary) group that they will stay in for the entire qualifying portion of the tournament. Erik the tournament director will assign groups but I will take requests for which group you would like to be in–just send me an email before the day of the tournament. I will keep families together (unless you want me to split you up :-)) I will also try to put an experienced person with pin golf in each group. You will play 18 different games (holes) one at a time. They will be a mix of LCD\, DMD\, and Solid State machines. Exact game list won’t be published until just before the event but they will all be from my game list that is published on the website. Everyone will play the same 18 holes. This will be a shotgun start so every group will start on a different hole and rotate through each hole as it becomes available. So if you start on hole 7 your next hole will be 8 then 9\, etc until you finish on hole 6. Every game will have a target score. Lets say the target score on a game is 100\,000\,000. If you reach the target score on ball 1 you put 1 stroke on your score card. If it takes 2 or 3 balls you write down 2 or 3 on your score card. If you don’ t reach the target score you will put a number of strokes between 4-8 on your score card depending on how well you did. On this hole it would say the target score is 100\,000\,000. After 3 balls\, If you get between 80\,000\,000-99\,999\,999 you put down 4 strokes\, 60\,000\,000-79\,999\,999 5 stokes\, 40\,000\,000-59\,999\,999 6 strokes\, 20\,000\,000-39\,999\,999 7 strokes\, under 20\,000\,000 will be 8 strokes. 8 is the maximum amount of strokes on any hole. \nIf you play out of turn or tilt through someone you will get an 8 for that hole! \nIf a machine breaks and can’t be quickly fixed that hole will be removed from the competition so then 17 holes will be used to determine playoff field. Same if another one breaks. Then 16 holes\, etc. \n\nPlayer order will be pre selected for the 1st hole then it will change each hole based on if you got 1st\,2nd or 3rd in your group for the previous hole. So it you did the best in your group on the previous hole you go first on the next one\, the person who did the 2nd best goes next\, and worst player goes last. This order changed each hole unless there is a tie between 2 players. If 2 players tie then the order stays the same for those players on the next hole. This is all common order playing in regular golf. \nYou will have a group score card for all your holes. At the break please turn in your score card so we can update the scores. Then at the break and at the end of the tournament\, turn in your completed group score sheet so I can input the final standings for qualifying. It is everyone’s responsibility to be honest and check the score card after each hole so that its accurate with your group score card. Anyone caught cheating will be eliminated from the tournament. \nTop 16 or 24 Players with the lowest scores make the Finals\n\nFinals will be a 24 person playoff with top 8 getting first round bye or a 16 person playoff with no byes depending on number of players. 32-47 players means top 16 make it with 5 games per round\, 48 or more means top 24 make it with 3 games per round. If you are eliminated at this point you can stay and play other machines just not the ones in the pin-golf playoff tournament. All ties for making it into the playoffs and seeding will be broken with a full game using points (not strokes) on classic games selected by the tournament director. The finals brackets will consist of 4 player groups playing different holes one at the same time.\nThe game being played will be chosen by the highest seed in each group with 1st choice player order determined by the next highest seed\, then 3rd highest\, then 4th highest\, then highest seed gets whatever position is left.  They will be choosing one game at a time\, playing that game\, then moving onto choosing the next game. Play order choice will also be going by the original seeds each game and not the results of the previous game. Games will be grouped in a Modern/Mid/Classic eras with 6 games in each grouping. Since you are picking 5 games in total and we have 3 groups you cannot pick more than 2 games from any 1 era (Modern/Mid/Classic). Once a group selects a game no other group can choose that game if it is being played at the moment. They must pick a different game and cannot wait for it to be completed by a different group. You can select any of the 18 games on any of the rounds of play. Example: you do not have to select a Modern Game for the 1st round\, then Mid for 2nd round\, then Classic for 3rd round in that order. You could choose a Classic game first\, then a modern next\, etc. Once a group has finished their game they can immediately pick the next one and keep playing. We will not wait for each group to finish before moving onto the next game. Once a group has finished a round we will wait until all groups are finished before we start the next round. The high seeded player also cannot pick the same games from round to round. Once they pick that game it is out from there selection process with the exception of a tiebreaker. If a tiebreaker game is need the higher seed of the players involved in the tiebreak can choose any game that wasn’t played in that round with their group. The tiebreaker at this point will be pin-golf style and could result in more ties until a winner is determined. The tiebreak game that is chosen can be chosen again by that player in future rounds as long as they haven’t used it as one of there main choices in a round. Example. They chose Iron Maiden as the tiebreaker in round 2 and moved onto round 3. They never chose Iron Maiden in Round 1 or 2 of the finals. They were high seed for the next group. They can choose Iron Maiden as one of their 3 main games in round 3 or 4.\nYou will add up the number of strokes total for the 3-4 games and the 2 lowest scores advance and highest 2 are eliminated. Your strokes do matter even when you are eliminated. Final position will be based on number of strokes against others whom were eliminated in the same round. This way I don’t have an 8 way tie for 9th and 17th place. The winner will be the person with the fewest strokes on the 4 final games with only 4 players. A tie for 1st will result in a 1 game playoff chosen by the high seed with the next highest seed choosing order. They can pick any game except the ones that were chosen on that final round.  All other ties will stand for IFPA points but we will do a 1 game playoff for trophy positions.

We have 2 different options. You get the the whole pinball arcade to yourselves not just a side room. \nClick here for more details on private events

We will also accept last minute walk-ins for this tournament but its easier if you register. \nDistrict 82 Pays the $1 IFPA Fee per player per tournament \nPrizes:\nTrophies for top 4\nNo Cash Prizes\nTournament is IFPA approved \nBottled Water and Trophies Sponsored by our friends at Lumberjack Johnny’s\n\nPinball Tournament Format\nQualify Portion: \nThe Group Match Play Qualifier will be played in groups of 4 (3 when necessary).\nIFPA Seeding to start\, then Tiered Swiss Style thereafter.

\nTop 4 Trophies \n*Disclaimer on number of players\nIf we have between 32-48 players than the top 16 players will make it to finals. If we have less than 32 players we will take the top half to finals. Finals groupings will then be adjusted based on number of players.
