If Tiered Swiss is not available then we will do Swiss. 12 rounds in total. 7/5/3/1 scoring. After 12 rounds the Top 24 Players make the Main Playoffs on Saturday. We will not have ‘B’ playoffs\, you either make the playoffs or you don’t. Everyone will be seeded 1-24. Automatic Tie Breakers will be turned on. The exception to Automatic Tiebreakers will be for 8th and 24th positions. Those positions will have a 1 game playoff drawn at random by the tournament director immediately at the conclusion of qualifying. This will be done so all players know who are in the finals\, who has choice of banks\, and who they are playing the 1st round. Top 8 players receive 1st round bye in playoffs. Playoffs will be Groups of 4 players\, 4 Rounds Total on 3 Game Banks with 4/2/1/0 scoring. Top 2 advance Bottom 2 Eliminated. Final position 1st-24th will be determined solely by your play in the playoffs. No points carry over from qualifying. 24th position is significant. All players who are tied at 24th who participate in the 1 game playoff who do not end up in the top 24 will have there final position in the tournament determined by the score of this one game playoff. So if 10 people are tied for 24th and only 1 makes it to the final the other 9 will have 25-33rd position will be determined by there finishing score/position on that tiebreaker game. Tiebreakers will be held immediately following qualifying but before the break. \n\nEvent 2: 10 Strike Progressive Knockout\nFriday August 12th \n5PM Tournament Starts or after Main Qualifying Ends\nMidnight Estimated Finish Time \n$20 Tournament Fee 100% tournament fees paid back to top 8 players as prize money \nTournament will use all 100+ Pinball Machines inside District 82 Pinball. Each round will alternate the era of game played on. Odd Rounds will be LCD/DMD games Even Rounds will be Classics/EM games. The matchplay software will pick the games played and matches the players up in groups. \nYou will play in groups of 4 players (3 when necessary)\, random seeding to start\, then swiss style pairing thereafter. 4 player groups get 0/1/2/3 strikes per round (1 game per round)\, 3 player groups get 0/1/2 strikes per round. Once you receive 10 strikes you are out of the tournament. Once Eliminated\, You may stay and play all the games on free play the rest of the night. You can get up to 12 strikes based on this format. If you are eliminated in a round with say 12 strikes (started with 9 and got last so you get 3 strikes added) and someone else finished with 11 strikes you will be behind them in the overall standings even though you were eliminated in the same round. \n\nOnly a ties for 1st through 8th will be broken as necessary for prizes/trophies. But only a tie for 1st is significant and will be reported to IFPA as a true win. The final reporting of points to IFPA will show 1st-4th place with no ties. \nTop 4 Trophies/Plaques and Top 16 Cash Prizes \nEvent 3: Classics Target Match Play 30 Points 3/2/1/0 Scoring\nSaturday August 13th \n7AM Doors Open\n9AM Tournament Starts\n3PM Estimated End Time \n$5 prize pool money per person paid from Classics Qualifying \nTournament will use 30-40 of the Classic Pinball Machines inside District 82 Pinball but will not use Rows 7 & 8 as they are used for the Certified Classics Final \nThis is a Group Match Play Tournament with Swiss pairings and 4 players (3 if necessary) in each group. Scoring is based on player performance for that one machine (3/2/1/0) or (3/1.5/0). This will be added to a running total for the tournament. The first player to reach 30 points is declared the winner and the tournament is over. If multiple players reach the target score on the same round the player with the higher total is the winner. If they are tied a randomly drawn game will be selected for tie breaker. Only ties between 1st position will be broken with a 1 game tie breaker for the affected players. No playoffs or finals.  Automatic Tiebreakers (if available in Match Play Software) will be turned on and will supersede any tie other than a tie for 1st place. A tie for first place is significant and will result in a 1 game playoff with the winner being the true winner and reported as such to IFPA for points. Any tiebreaks for 2nd-4th will be a 1 game tiebreaker chosen by the tournament director for prizes only. They will be reported to IFPA as a tie. \nTop 4 Trophies\, Top 4 Cash Prizes \nEvent 4 Qualifying: Certified 2:1 Mix Pins Qualifying 12 Round Group Match Play\nSaturday August 13th \nCertified IFPA 120% TGP (assuming minimum 64 rated players in qualifying) \n5PM Tournament Starts\n1AM Estimated End Time \n$40 Tournament Fee ($35 gets paid out to top 16 in finals of this tournament\, $5 gets paid out to top 4 in Event 5: 3 Strike Knockout) \nTournament will use all 100+ Pinball Machines inside District 82 Pinball. We will alternate Era’s of games in a 2 to 1 ration. Round 1 Modern\, Round 2 Modern\, Round 3 Classic\, Round 4 Modern\, Etc. So for 12 rounds there will be 8 Modern and 4 Classic Games Played. The matchplay software will pick the games played and matches the players up in groups. \nThis is a Group Match Play Qualifying with Random Pairings to start and Tiered Swiss thereafter if available. If Tiered Swiss is not available then we will do Swiss. 12 rounds in total. 7/5/3/1 scoring. After 12 rounds the Top 24 Players make the Main Playoffs on Saturday. We will not have ‘B’ playoffs\, you either make the playoffs or you don’t. Everyone will be seeded 1-24. Automatic Tie Breakers will be turned on. The exception to Automatic Tiebreakers will be for 8th and 24th positions. Those positions will have a 1 game playoff drawn at random by the tournament director immediately at the conclusion of qualifying. This will be done so all players know who is in the finals\, who has choice of banks\, and who they are playing the 1st round. Top 8 players receive 1st round bye in playoffs.
