Sunday Classics Pinball Tournament
Step back in time and battle it out on some of the greatest machines ever made at our Sunday Classics Pinball Tournament. This event is open to everyone — seasoned competitors and first-time tournament players alike.
We’ll be playing only Classic Era pinball machines (1985 and older). Expect fast play, tough competition, and a full day of vintage silverball action.
If you love the feel, sound, and challenge of classic pinball, this one is for you.
No extra entry fee for the tournament. The cost is included with admission to open pinball on Sunday.

Doors Open: 11:00 AM (Open Play begins)
Tournament Start: 12:00 PM
Estimated Break: 2:30-3:00 PM
Estimated End of Qualifying: 4:30 PM
Estimated Finals: 5:00–8:00 PM

- District 82 pays the $1 IFPA fee per player

Tournament Format
This is a Group Match Play tournament played entirely on classic machines.
Qualifying Round
- 5 rounds of group match play
- 4-player groups (3 when necessary)
- IFPA seeding for Round 1
- Tiered Swiss format thereafter (Swiss if Tiered Swiss unavailable)
- Games played one at a time
- Scoring per game: 7 / 5 / 3 / 1
- Automatic tiebreakers enabled
After 5 rounds:
- 48+ players: Top 24 advance to Finals
- 32–47 players: Top 16 advance
- Fewer than 32 players: Top half advance
Top 8 receive a first-round bye (in a 24-player finals format).
Special one-game tiebreakers will be played if necessary for advancement or seeding positions that impact the finals.
Finals
Finals consist of 3-game banks per round played on classic machines only.
- Scoring: 4 / 2 / 1 / 0 per game
- Top 2 advance from each group
- Bottom 2 are eliminated
- One-game playoffs break ties affecting advancement
- All ties in the final round are broken with a one-game playoff
Final rounds include:
- Opening Finals Round
- Quarterfinals (16 players)
- Semifinals (8 players)
- Final Round (4 players)
Top 4 earn plaques or trophies.
If a qualified player does not appear for Round 1, the next highest qualifier may take their place.
