-Brief Summary-

Play More Pinball!
I have comfortably scheduled 5 tournaments in 4 days. I do have tournaments that overlap with IFPA certified event finals on Friday & Sunday. That’s how we get 3-5 tournaments. We are definitely running 5 tournaments but if you make a certified finals you may want to skip the other simultaneous tournament. Everyone who plays in finals receives prize money. You also get to play as much pinball as you want at practice times and in-between rounds, as all the games are on free play the whole weekend.

Thursday afternoon-evening Certified Classics Qualify (10 Rounds 2 Games per round) with finals Friday Morning
Friday Morning also has a 3 strike knockout same time as the Finals for Classic
Friday Night we play the 1st half (5 Rounds) of the qualifying for the Certified Main Event
Saturday Morning-Afternoon we complete the 2nd half (5 more Rounds) of qualifying for main event. (10 Round 2 Game Banks with 1 modern & 1 Classic Per Round in total)
Saturday Night has an 8 Strike Fair Strike Knockout (All Games)
Sunday Morning-Afternoon has Finals for Main Event
Sunday Morning-Afternoon also has Lucky 13 Tournament for everyone

Registration opens Saturday June 10th, 2023 exactly at 11AM Central Time. You need to pay the registration fee of $320 within 24 hours of signing up or will be removed from the registered list. Registration instructions are below.

  • The 2 Main Tournaments (Classics Thursday Qualifier with Friday Final and the Main Event Friday-Saturday Qualify with Sunday Finals) will be IFPA Certified with 200% TGP and a 25%-50% Event Booster based on number of player we have. That is a total of 250%-300% the normal WPPR Points for each of these 2 events.
  • Other 3 Full Tournaments should all grade out to 100% TGP (or very close) for WPPR points from IFPA, same with the Wednesday Beat The Clock tournament. Tilt’n Tuesday is 112% TGP.

Hotel Deals:

Please book early. This years Summer Pinball Classic fell on a Packers Pre-Season Home Football Game. The rooms will start to fill up and get more expensive the closer you get to the date. Please book hotel early!

Nuks Executive Suites (Formerly Ennis Inn)
This is less than 2 miles from District 82. Please call or email them. The websites will show that Saturday is booked. But I have about 10 rooms reserved for District 82 Players so please call David (Front Desk) at (920) 347-0007. You will get a price that’s a bit lower than the online price. About $90-$125 per night (Friday & Saturday are higher than Wednesday & Thursday)

Kress Inn which is only 2 miles away from District 82 right in downtown De Pere has a deal as well. The discounted rate gives up to 15% off the best year round price they have. The price is a little elevated because of the Packers Home Pre-Season Game. You can call them at 800-221-5070 and reference District 82 Pinball or use the following link for an online booking: http://www.choicehotels.com/ires/en-US/html/ArrivalInfo?hotel=WI118&srp=LDIS82&pu=no

These hotels I do not have standing deal with but are not too far away and pricing was good on them with rooms available as of May 19th, 2023

  1. Sleep Inn & Suites (920) 351-4126 I was told they have about 50 rooms available at good prices ($105-$120 per night).. I was also told it’s usually cheaper to book them online.
  2. Radisson Hotel & Conference Center Green Bay – Book this one online as well. They had plenty of rooms and when you stay 3+ nights you get a little discount. When I selected the dates it came back as $135 per night with free cancellation up until the day before check in.

Lighting

Overhead ‘house’ lighting will be on for Summer Pinball Classics Thursday-Sunday Tournaments. Overhead lighting will be off for Tuesday & Wednesday Tournaments.

Registration:

Registration Opens June 10th at 11AM Central Time. Register First – then pay entry fee.

I will be registering up to 10% of the register list, 15 people, in advance whom are either sponsors, last year’s winners, and those helping to make this event happen. Also, The IFPA Board of Directors (they don’t count in the total).

Registration for The Summer Pinball Classic is a 2 step process

  1. Secure your spot – be one of the first 150 people to register on this site when registration opens on June 10th at 11:00AM Central Time — That is the rush part and is the same it has always been for all my events. Exactly at 11AM a blue button that says ‘Register’ will appear (you need to hit F5 to refresh your browser). Click that button and give me your name and email then click submit. You can only register for one person at a time. Once you have secured your spot the rush is over, take a minute, and correctly pay for it.
  2. Pay for your registration – June 10th, after you register above, pay with a credit card by clicking the “Buy Now” button below which takes you to Square Pay or sending [email protected] a pay pal with the required funds. Pay Pal you can use either merchant or friends and family. Make sure you put your name that you registered with somewhere in the notes of the payments. I have to manually check the registration and payment systems separately and match them up. You can pay for more than one person at a time, just give me a note or send an email as to whom you are paying for. You can also pay cash for a $10 Discount ($310 Total), but only if you are coming to the June 20th Tilt’n Tuesday or Triple Flip Open on June 23rd-25th. Just send me an email saying you are going to pay in full on one of those dates. If you don’t pay or don’t send me an email saying when you are going to pay you will be removed from the registration list. All sales taxes, fees, etc, are in that cost. If you pay first and don’t secure a registration your money will be refunded (less any fees incurred by District 82). Follow the instructions and Register First, Pay Second. Make sure you read and understand the Refund Policy stated below.

THIS $320 NEEDS TO BE PAID WITHIN 24 HOURS OF REGISTERING. IF NOT PAID I WILL REMOVE THE PLAYER FROM THE REGISTERED LIST AND THE NEXT PERSON ON THE WAITING LIST WILL BE MOVED UP TO REGISTERED AND GIVEN 1 DAY TO PAY THE ENTRY FEE.

I will not be offering individual tournament registrations on these tournaments.

Pay for your entry into all 5 tournaments (Thursday-Sunday) using the button below AFTER you secure your spot in the Summer Pinball Classic. Do not pay any money if you are not registered. Do not pay any money if you are on the waitlist. You will be contacted by email if you move up from waitlist to registered.

Prize Money for top 8 in 3 Strike & 8 Strike Knockout, prize amount is based on number of players and prize pool for that tournament. Paid out as a check from District 82.

Prize Money for top 4 overall in the Lucky 13 AND the winner of each group in round 13 will get prize money too.

Prize Money for the 3 Strike & Lucky 13 Tournaments will be based on the number of players that were in the Certified Events since most of the time those players that qualified for finals don’t play in the alternate tournament. Tournament Formats:

Event 1: Certified Classics Qualifying; 10 Rounds of 2 Classic Games each round

Thursday Aug 17th, 2023
11AM Doors Open for Practice
1PM Tournament Starts
10:30PM Projected End Time

The Group Match Play Qualifier will be played in groups of 4 (3 when necessary).
Random Seeding to start, then Tiered Swiss Style thereafter. If Tiered Swiss not available then Swiss will be used. MatchPlay Software will most likely be used for the tournaments.
Each Round will consist of a 2 games played, 1 at a time, on the older, ‘classic’ games at D82.
You will receive 7/5/3/1 scoring on each game
Automatic Tiebreakers will be turned on
Once 10 rounds are played (20 Games Total) the top 24 players make it to the final
8th & 24th place will not use the Automatic Tiebreakers. All players tied with the same amount of accumulated points for the 8th or 24th position will have a 1 GAME tiebreaker to determine who gets into the final and who doesn’t. This 1 GAME tiebreaker is significant and will result in the final placing for all players who finish 25th or worse in the tournament. Example. We have 10 players with the same amount of points who finish from 21st-30th in qualifying. They all get to play a 1 GAME tiebreaker. The person with the lowest tiebreaker score finishes the tournament in 30th place.

Game List

Game list for the Certified Classics Qualifying as of May 2023 is listed below. This may change a little as we get closer to the tournament date but will be very close.

The other tournaments may use all the games and alternates between newer and older each round. The complete list of pinball machines at District 82 is here: https://district82.com/game-list/

Because of the number of players most groups will be playing game 1 on a certain game and then a second group may have that same machine as their game 2. Just wait for the 1st group to finish then play your game.

If a game goes down and cannot be repaired quickly you will be given a replacement game.

We have 10 players with the same amount of points who finish from 21st-30th in qualifying. They all get to play a 1 GAME tiebreaker. The person with the lowest tiebreaker score finishes the tournament in 30th place.

Both are time and date stamped and I will process your refund in the same manner you paid (Credit Card, Pay Pal, etc.) as soon as I can. This is not an automatic system so I personally need to process any refunds. It may take a couple days if I’m not in town when you cancel.
If the coronavirus or some other disease numbers go crazy (crazy is relative to every person individually) but I am still legally allowed to hold these tournaments, then the tournaments will go on as planned and no refunds will be issued.

If Event is Cancelled

If this event is cancelled for any reason then a full refund will be issued to everyone. I would base any weather related cancellation or delays on the weather in Green Bay, WI. If I delay the start of a day I may make up that time by limiting breaks, etc. Please save the email address [email protected] in your contacts folder so email updates don’t go to spam folder. District 82 is not responsible for any other costs you may have incurred like lodging, car rental, or airfare for this event.
